"The support for my mum was tailored to her changing needs as she suffered from Alzheimer's disease. As her needs increased, Liz was able to provide suitable support. My mum had a lot of fun with the Daisy Chain staff. Because she was physically mobile, they frequently took her on trips to various places such as Garden Centres.
They were respectful in her home and tried to include her where possible in household tasks. Liz and her staff took time to get to know my mum’s likes and dislikes. They sang and danced to music with her, watched her favourite films together and did art and craft activities. I saw first hand that my mum looked forward to staff visiting her and she clearly felt safe and happy in their company.
I personally feel that Daisy Chain provided my mum with exceptional support and care. Communication with me was thorough and I was always kept up to speed with any issues regarding my mum. The staff kept a diary of their visits, which meant that they could keep a track of their experiences with my mum and therefore offer consistent care.
The diary also meant that I could see how my mum was when I could not be at her home. I genuinely could not have coped with my mum’s illness without the support of Daisy Chain and I would always recommend them without hesitation.” Zoë Shields- Lawford
